Recently, President of the Ukrainian Football Association Andriy Pavelko announced that the organization is preparing an application for the use of the VAR system in Ukraine.

Also, the UAF Referee Committee recently received a positive report on the successful completion of training for the use of technology, reflected in the report of the head of the FIFA Football Technology Department, Sebastian Runge.

"Good application and ability to provide the necessary services to the WAA team and referees in accordance with the WAA Implementation Manual," Runge's report states in particular. In addition, Michael Van der Roest, a specialist of the FIFA Refereeing Department, who also took part in testing a group of Ukrainian referees and checking their experience in using VAR, gave positive assessments and noted that "Ukraine is on the right track" in this area of ​​football development.

Therefore, only two matches remain from the mandatory training program, where the technology and skills of the first group of eight referees who have undergone the necessary training will be tested. Both matches will take place this week.

And already on December 9, we invite journalists and commentators of football matches to a lecture and press conference, which will be devoted to the program of preparation for the use of VAR in Ukraine.

The event will start at 11.00 in the conference hall of the House of Football (3rd floor).

Participants of the event: head of the Committee of Referees of the Ukrainian Football Association, Luciano Luchi, referees who have undergone VAR training.
