Europa League. Dynamo played with Lugano and failed to leave the group
In the final round of the group stage of the Europa League, Dynamo Kyiv drew with Switzerland's Lugano and finished the tournament.
To advance to the next round, the white and blues needed only a victory. Sidorchuk, Verbych and Shabanov could not play for them due to disqualification. We will also note the return to the gates of Bushchan. Lugano also had enough staffing problems due to the lack of tournament motivation, so Dynamo was counting on a positive result in the last round.
From the beginning of the match, the Ukrainians took the initiative, often hitting the goal, but did not hit the plane. Mykolenko's shot was blocked, Besedin first scored higher, and later did not have time to shoot Vitaly. In the 31st minute, Artem missed the best moment in the half, when he missed an empty net from a few meters. It is also worth noting Tsygankov's free kick over the "nine" and Buyalsky's goal, which was not scored due to offside.
"Lugano" showed almost nothing in the attack, but in the 45th minute took advantage of the loss of concentration of the defense of "Dynamo". Dalmonte broke through on the right flank and hung up, and Orator opened the score. Karavaev could immediately restore balance, but after a ricochet the ball flew past the goal.
In the second half, the picture of the game did not change. The chance wasted by Karavaev, who failed to accurately close the shot on the far post. Soon the defender of "Lugano" at the last moment prevented Popov from excelling. In the 61st minute, Dynamo almost scored again when the ball hit the post after Buyalsky's shot, and Besedin failed to finish.
At the end of the meeting, da Costa became involved in the game several times, rescuing after strikes by Tsygankov, Sol and Buyalsky. In the offset time Tsygankov did hit the goalkeeper of the opponents, but more Kiev did not reach. So — 1: 1 and the final third place in the group, which means the end of the European Cup season for Dynamo.
