Oleksandr Kosenko, Oleg Shaitanov and Valentin Vakula participated in the UEFA Lecturers Seminar

The head coaches of the Ukrainian men's and women's futsal teams, Oleksandr Kosenko and Oleh Shaitanov, as well as the sports director of the Ukrainian Futsal Association, Valentyn Vakula, took part in a training seminar for UEFA lecturers in Eerikkil, Finland, from 16 to 19 December.

In addition to the Ukrainian delegation, the seminar was attended by trainers, functionaries, representatives of the licensing center from Andorra, Belarus, Georgia, Spain, Portugal, Lithuania, USA, Wales and Finland.

The main message of the seminar was: "The more educated the coach, the more educated the player."

The lecture discussed the level of education in the participating countries in the programs of diplomas B and C, as well as provided specific explanations of the basic terms. Much attention was paid to the methods and system of training lecturers in each of the associations. Most attention was paid to the issue of interactivity, which is an integral part of coaching.

A lot of time was devoted to the reports of the representatives of Finland, because this country is one of the strongest in terms of education in general and pays a lot of attention to the training of coaches.

Also, a large project to train coaches and other professionals was presented by representatives of one of the world's leading futsal countries, the current European champion - Portugal.

The issue of expediency of the courses on the diploma A diploma program was additionally discussed.
