UEFA has announced the schedule of the tournament in the Women's Champions League season 2020/2021
The Union of European Football Associations has informed the schedule of UEFA Women's Champions League draws in the 2020-2021 season.
In the 2020/2021 season, in the Women's Champions League, the countries ranked first to 12th in the UEFA rankings will be able to field two teams each. All others will be represented by one club.
Ukraine ranks 28th in the women's European club table of ranks, so only one team will declare. The future champion of our country will start the tournament from the qualifying round. At this stage, the best team of Ukraine will learn the names of their rivals in the group during the draw in Nyon on June 19.
The winners of the qualifying round groups and the best second teams in the mini-tournaments, which will take place on August 12-18, 2020, will reach the 1/16 finals. They will be joined by the winner of the Women's Champions League of the 2019/2020 season and representatives of the countries that rank first to 12th in the UEFA rankings.
Then the competition will be held according to the playoff system. Each subsequent round will consist of two-match confrontations. The final of the tournament will take place on May 16, 2021 at the Gamla Ullevi Stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden.
