On the official site of the Austrian Football Union analyzed the personnel potential of the national team of Ukraine

The press service of the official website of the Austrian Football Union has published analytical material on the personnel potential of the national team of Ukraine. 

AFS website said strengths and weaknesses of Andriy Shevchenko's wards, who will be rivals of the Austrians in the group round of Euro 2020.

"The national team of Ukraine is based on extensive experience and relies on the players of the two leading clubs in the country. Despite the fact that the team does not have performers with big names, it reached the finals of the European Championship without a single defeat in its selection group. Is this a draw for the Austrian national team? It is quite clear that Ukraine cannot be underestimated, as it came out of the first place in the group with the current champions of the continent - the Portuguese.

The biggest star of the Ukrainian team is its head coach Andriy Shevchenko, who won the Champions League together with AC Milan and was named the best player in the world in 2004. The team is dominated by Shakhtar Donetsk and Dynamo Kyiv.

However, the most famous football player of the team at the moment is Oleksandr Zinchenko. He plays for Manchester City, although he does not have a permanent place in the squad. Another well-known performer of the national team of Ukraine is Andriy Yarmolenko. However, after a serious injury, he is only in his best form and does not always play for the Hammers. Yevhen Konoplyanka is also going through difficult times. After disappointments at Sevilla and Schalke, the 30-year-old midfielder returned home in September and regularly plays for Shakhtar, the AFS press service reports.

"The strength of Ukrainians traditionally lies in their compact style of play, although the defense is not without mistakes. A great trump card in such cases is the presence of experienced and reliable Andriy Pyatov in the blue-yellow goal.

One of the most promising players in the country is 22-year-old Dynamo Kyiv winger Viktor Tsygankov. He is the leading performer of his club and occupies the second place after Zinchenko in terms of transfer value among Ukrainians (20 million euros). His problem in the national team is competition for a place in the team with Andriy Yarmolenko.

Franco Foda has repeatedly stated that he will analyze the game of Ukraine from all sides in the near future. He assures that he understands well the tasks of the Austrian national team in the confrontation with Shevchenko's team. At first glance, Austrian players are higher in class than Ukrainians.
