The average age of the national team of Ukraine at the end of 2019 was 26,4 years. The figure was calculated taking into account all 36 players called up to the national team during the year.

The oldest in the main team of the country was its 35-year-old captain Andriy Pyatov, and the youngest - 20-year-old defender of Dynamo Kyiv Vitaliy Mykolenko.

Significant rejuvenation of the national team took place in 2018, when the average age of the national team was the lowest in the last five seasons - 25,8 years.

In 2017, the age of the national team was 26 years, in 2016 - 28,7 years, in 2015 - 27,5 years.

You should also pay attention to the number of players called up to the national team during the year. In 2015, there were 28 players in the national team, and in 2019 - already 36. This indicates that the competition for a place in the main team of the country has become much stronger, and the coaching staff continues to look for reinforcements, despite the most successful season in history.

Recall that the President of the UAF Andrey Pavelko named 2019 the brightest in the history of Ukrainian football.

Last year was unique in biography of the national team of Ukraine: no defeats in 10 matches, including eight Euro 2020 matches.
