Kyiv Regional Football Federation has got a new home

On Friday, January 17, a solemn meeting of the Kyiv Regional Football Federation took place, during which a new office of the main football body of Kyiv region was officially opened.

During the meeting, the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko noted the development of football in Kyiv region in recent years, which has led to success at the national level. According to the head of the UAF, Kyiv region presented Ukraine with the U-20 world football champion Kirill Dryshlyuk, Kovaliv's Kolos, which until recently was among amateur teams, is already playing here, and is already fighting the best UPL clubs. Serhiy Boyko and Mykola Balakin, well-known arbitrators not only in Ukraine but also in Europe, also represent the region.

"Football of Kyiv region plays an important role in the activities of the national association. And so it is very nice that for the first time in history the organization will have its own Football House. I have no doubt that life will be in full swing here in the future and fateful decisions will be made for all Ukrainian football. It is nice to remember that last year, 2019, became one of the most successful in the history of our country - we became world champions among U-20 teams, reached the 2020 European Championship. And these are the results of the work of the entire Ukrainian football system, including Kyiv region. Each of you has made efforts to make the dreams of millions of fans come true, "Andriy Pavelko assured everyone present of his involvement in the glorious moments.

UAF President also announced the beginning of design work on construction in the village of Knyazhichi, in Kyiv region, the base for youth and national teams of Ukraine, noted the strong development of football infrastructure in the region over the past years, which is the emergence of about 100 new fields and 10 full-size fields .  

To greet the football community of Kyiv region with the opening of the House of Football also came the head coach of the U-17 youth team Alexander Petrakov (coach of the U-20 world champions), coach of the national team Oleksandr Shovkovskyi, first vice-presidents of UAF Oleg Protashenko and Vadim Tatsensky of the headquarters of the youth team Vasily Kardash.

Alexander Petrakov thanked all representatives of the Kiev Regional Football Federation for their assistance in preparing the youth and youth teams for the 2015 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2018 European Championships. Oleksandr Shovkovsky wished the Kyiv region to train talented football players who would in the future fill up the Ukrainian national team.

During the opening ceremony of the Football House, Andriy Pavelko awarded diplomas to regional officials - Oleksandr Kurylko, Oleksiy Lavrushenko, Hennadiy Milurik, Hennadiy Pryschepchuk and Hennadiy Mamon - for their contribution to the development of football in Kyiv region. The young pupils of FC Chaika from Petropavlivska Borshchahivka were also presented with soccer balls and memorable gifts.

The new office of the Kyiv Regional Football Federation also received gifts from Oleksandr Shovkovsky - a ball and a T-shirt with the autographs of the players of the national team of Ukraine were transferred to the museum of the regional federation.

Yaroslav Moskalenko greeted those present and thanked everyone for their cooperation: “I congratulate everyone on the opening of the football home of Kyiv region! We went to this event together for a very long time. Now our team has all the conditions for even more productive work. The office has two floors: working meetings, executive committees, referees will be held on one floor, and the whole team of the regional federation will be located on the second floor, which will solve urgent issues of our football on a daily basis. I want to thank everyone who was involved in the organization of this office, and I call for joint work for the development of football Kyiv region. "
