UAF Executive Committee approves venues for home friendly matches of the national team of Ukraine on the eve of Euro 2020

The Executive Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association supported the proposal of UAF President Andriy Pavelko to identify Kharkiv, Kiev and Lviv as cities that will host three blue-yellow friendly matches before their start at Euro 2020.

So, the national team of Ukraine will play against the team of Cyprus on May 26 in Kharkiv at USC Metalist, on June 2 in Kyiv at the NSC Olimpiysky - with Northern Ireland and on June 7 in Lviv at the stadium "Arena Lviv" - with Israel.

"These three matches will take place in the East, Center and West of Ukraine. Thus, fans from all regions will have the opportunity to charge their emotions to the main team on the eve of the decisive tournament. And in general, it is symbolic, because football lately is what unites our country and gives positive emotions to millions of fans, "said Andriy Pavelko, President of the UAF, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee.

We will add that in preparation for Euro 2020, the national team of Ukraine will hold two more friendly meetings in March. On the 27th in Saint-Denis at the Stade de France (the match starts at 22.00 Kyiv time) our team will play against the current French champions, and on March 31 in Chorzow at the Silesian Stadium (start - at 21.45 Kyiv time) Andriy Shevchenko's team will meet Poland.
