First, the players of the national team of Ukraine answered questions from journalists.

In particular, Ihor Lyubchak said: “I think we were lucky with the draw. The strongest opponent is the Italian national team, we are not very well acquainted with the rest of the opponents, but, in my opinion, they are quite passable. I think that the national team of Ukraine should calmly start from the second place, and if you are lucky, then from the first. We have already started preparations for eURO-2020, we meet several times a week, we hold sparring games with each other and with representatives of other national teams every day. "

Serhiy Marchenko confirmed: “The Italian national team is a clear favorite, but this does not mean that we have agreed in second place in advance. You can fight for the first position. The biggest role will be played by face-to-face fights with the Italians. They have a very strong player ETTORITO97, who is called the Messiah of cyber football. He is now 22 or 23 years old, and he has won PES World Cups since 2011, so comparing him to one of the best footballers in the world is quite correct. However, the second team from the first group stage goes to stage 2, and from there to the finals of the two groups are classified into three teams. That is, we have every chance to get to London. Vitaliy Litvinov added: “Getting into the ranks of the national team of Ukraine is my highest achievement in my career. It is an honor for everyone to represent the country at the international level. That's why we understand our responsibility and train every day. At this stage, we do not yet know how we will play in group stage 1. There are two options: either everyone will play from a home computer, or gather as a team in Kiev. Personally, I would like us to play together with our capital, because collective support gives a lot. This is extremely important from a psychological point of view.

As for the quality of the Internet, in Kyiv, at home, it is something like a lottery. In an online game, the quality of the connection (ping) is very important. It all depends on network congestion, and it is impossible to predict. Much also depends on routers and monitors, ie there are nuances, but still more important is the skill - the ability to play, so let's rely on our own strength.

Maksym Andrasyuk agrees with his teammate: “Everything depends on the skill. For example, when I form a national team, I am one of the few players used by Yevhen Khacheridi. Its height gives a huge advantage at standard positions. He scored a lot for me in the selection for the Ukrainian national team. It is also important to use more than one tactic, but to vary them according to the specific opponent. I sometimes play three defenders, five, three strikers and two. I have a large arsenal of tactics and I am ready to use different styles of play.

In preparation for eURO-2020, our coach organized various sparring matches for us. We played with very strong national teams of Romania and Turkey, represented by world-class players. They also met with Poles, Slovaks and Slovenes. They haven't lost to anyone yet. The Ukrainian Football Association also helped a lot in finding sparring partners. Thanks to her, we have all the conditions for quality preparation for the European Championship. "

It will be recalled that the winners of 10 qualifying groups of group stage 1 will receive passes to the final tournament of the 2020 European Championship. The second-placed teams will form two groups of five teams and will be able to make it to the finals of eURO-2020 through group stage 2. Tickets to the finals will be awarded to the top three teams from each group.

The first stage competitions in our qualification group will be held on March 16 and March 30, the matches of the second stage for the second teams of the groups will take place on May 4 and 11. The final tournament among the 16 best national teams of Europe will be held on July 9-10 in London.
