National team of Ukraine in anticipation of the draw of the League of Nations 2020/2021: basket composition

Tomorrow, March 3 will take place in Amsterdam draw of the League of Nations 2020/2021. The ceremony will start at 19.00 Kyiv time.

Recall that after format changes in the League of Nations 2020/2021 in divisions A, B, C 16 national teams will play, and in division D - seven teams.

Ukraine, which made its way to the elite even before reform as winner of one of the Group B groups, hit the draw before of the third basket and will win one contender from the first, second and fourth.

Pot 1: Portugal, the Netherlands, England, Switzerland.

Pot 2: Belgium, France, Spain, Italy.

Pot 3: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ukraine, Denmark, Sweden.

Pot 4: Croatia, Poland, Germany, Iceland.

Regulations

In divisions A, B and C, participants will be divided into four groups of four teams. The winners of the groups in Division A will play in the final stage of the competition (semifinals and final). The host country will be chosen from among the finalists. The teams that will take the last places in their quartets will move to Division B.

The teams that take the first places in the groups of divisions B, C and D will rise in accordance with divisions A, B and C. The teams that take the last places in division B will move to division C. The two worst teams of division C (according to the results of the playoffs off) will move to Division D. In Division D, the teams will be divided into two groups (four and three teams).

1st round: September 3-5, 2020.

2st round: September 6-8, 2020.

3st round: October 8-10, 2020.

4st round: October 11-13, 2020.

5st round: November 12-14, 2020.

6st round: November 15-17, 2020.

Final round of the tournament: June 2-6, 2021.
