The Ukrainian military and artificial turf fields have opened, and the annual tournament has begun
March 2 on the basis of the National University of Defense of Ukraine. Ivan Chernyakhovsky's mini-football tournament "University Chief's Cup" took place for the first time.
The beginning of the competition was marked by the opening of two fields with artificial coverage for mini-football, which in the future will become part of the modern sports complex of the University.
"Today we are opening two wonderful fields, where we are starting a mini-football competition for the first time. This tournament will be held annually, and we aim to expand it and invite new participants, "- began the opening ceremony, Deputy Head of the University for Moral and Psychological Support, Major General Sergei Pozdyshev.
This year, the teams of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and the National Defense University of Ukraine named after them took part in the competitions. Yuriy Finogenov, Head of the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, and Valentyn Latypov, Adviser to the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, congratulated the participants on such a wonderful event. The competition turned out to be quite spectacular and fiercely sporty. Real football passions were raging on the field, but the spirit of military brotherhood and mutual respect was felt all the time.
