Five years of development: events that have occurred for the first time in the history of Ukrainian football

On March 6, 2015, the Ukrainian Football Association (then the Football Federation of Ukraine) was headed by Andriy Pavelko. Then for him on XVII 122 of the 137 delegates voted in Congress.

The activity of UAF under the leadership of Andriy Pavelko can be evaluated according to various criteria. We tried to remember what was done in Ukrainian football for the first time in these five years.

- the national team of Ukraine passed the qualifying round without any defeats;

- top foreign specialists were involved in the coaching staff of the national team;

- the national team of Ukraine for the year (in 2019) played in five cities of the country;

- the national team of Ukraine became the world champion among U-20 teams;

- players and coaches of the U-20 national team, as well as the first coaches of the team's players received record bonuses;

- Mass trips of fans to all guest matches of the national team of Ukraine were organized;

- women's refereeing teams began to hold matches of men's teams;

- the VAR system has started working in Ukraine;

- the real fight against contractual matches has started and the profile law on the initiative of UAF has come into force;

- destroyed shadow schemes of financing Ukrainian football and financing through offshore companies;

- a strategy for the development of women's football has been developed in Ukraine;

- the finals of the women's and men's Champions League were held in Ukraine;

- a representative of Ukraine was elected to the UEFA Executive Committee by direct vote;

- each regional association began to receive assistance from the UAF in the amount of UAH 1 per year;

- The UAF Congress was held not in the capital, but in the region;
