Oleksandr Babych: “We still have a chance to make it to the Europa League in two ways”

In the quarterfinals of the Cup of Ukraine "Mariupol", representing the Premier League, won the second league "Alliance" in Sumy (4: 2) and booked himself a place in the semifinals.

- I have already had to say that there are no favorites in the Cup, - said the head coach of Azov Alexander Babych in a comment to the official website of the UAF. - So the players of the "Alliance", who have just made their debut in the competition among the teams of masters, managed to give us a fight, and I believed that we could go further only when the score was 4: 2.

I am convinced that the spectators were satisfied, because despite the problems with the lawn, the teams were pleased with the high performance, the desire not to concede in every game episode. In short, it was a real cup confrontation.

Unfortunately, we did not manage to make it to the top six in the Premier League, but we still have a chance to get a pass to the Europa League through the butt matches in the championship. As for the performance in the cup tournament, we coped with the task - to play in the semifinals. We repeated our best result, but it is very tempting to take at least one more step forward.
