The Premier League. Alexandria begins the second phase of a volitional victory over the Colossus
The first matches of the Ukrainian Premier League championship were played today after the division of participants into two sixes.
All matches were played without spectators according to by the decision of the UAF Executive Committee. In the tournament of the teams fighting for the first-sixth place, "Alexandria" beat "Kolos". The score was opened at the end of the first half by 19-year-old Kovalev player Stanislav Sorokin, who played his first match in the Premier League. But even before the break, the experienced Grechishkin scored the ball in return. In the second half, Hrytsuk brought Oleksandriya forward from the penalty spot, and then Kovalets scored his return to the field after an injury. Under the curtain of the game, the opponents still exchanged goals, ensuring a successful start of the second stage in the first six.
In the tournament of teams competing for places from seventh to 12th, there were two matches. Dnipro-1 and Mariupol, who finished the first stage with a match with three withdrawals, this time did without red cards. As for the score, today the hosts limited themselves to two "dry" balls. The first of them Khoblenko scored from a penalty awarded by referee Monzul after watching the video replay using the VAR system.
Many events took place in the Lviv derby. FC Lviv and Karpaty exchanged not only goals, but also unbeaten penalties, and in both cases it was the merit of the goalkeepers. "Mistyanyn" Sarnavsky repulsed Nazarina's shot, and Kudryk from Karpaty did not allow himself to beat Tatarkova. In addition, the player of green and white Gennady Pasich was removed.
