The manager of the national team of Ukraine on cyber football: "There will be no passing matches in our selection group"

The manager of the national team of cyber football Konstantin Demyanenko told about the recent preparations of the national team for the matches of the EURO-2020 selection. 

The leader of Ukrainian cyber football players Konstantin Demyanenko told the UAF press service about the preparation of our team for the 2020 European Championship. We will remind that for the results of the draw In Group Stage 1, Ukraine reached Group H together with Italy, Wales, Montenegro, Andorra and the Faroe Islands. 

"Unfortunately, the situation with the coronavirus has also affected our plans to prepare for the continental championship. We planned to hold a training camp before the first round of Group Stage 1 in Dnipro, but it had to be canceled for well-known reasons. We decided not to take any risks and listened to the appropriate authorities, who recommended that we stay at home. That's why our guys will hold the fights themselves not in a team, but in individual home conditions. I believe that at the moment this is the only acceptable format.

I want to assure you that the players approach the tournament with full responsibility. They train at home all the time and are in good shape. In terms of preparation, I think we have achieved what we wanted. Most of it was based on their own initiatives. I absolutely did not need to encourage the guys to participate in sparring, because they themselves understand the need for such a process and do everything possible to prepare for qualifying matches. They pumped their skills every day, so I'm sure everything should be fine.

In addition, we finally have information about most of the opponents in our group N. Previously, we were informed only about the Italian national team, but recently it became possible to see the games and our other opponents. Moreover, we were able to hold several sparring matches with our future opponents in the selection. I can say that earlier the situation seemed simpler. But after these control matches it became clear that all rivals are seriously preparing, and there will be no one-hundred percent passing matches. However, our task remains the same - to reach the finals of eEURO-2020, "said Konstantin Demyanenko.

Recall that the competition is the first stage in our qualification group will be held on March 16 and March 30. The matches of the second stage of selection for the second teams of the groups will take place on May 4 and 11. The final tournament among the 16 best national teams of Europe is scheduled for July 9-10 in London.
