Officially. UEFA postponed the final tournament of the European Championship for 2021

Today, UEFA has made a number of important decisions.

A special video conference with representatives of 55 national associations that are members of the European Football Union, associations of European clubs and European leagues, as well as representatives of FIFPro made key decisions on European football.

In particular, the transfer of Euro 2020 to 2021 has been announced. The tournament is scheduled for June 11 - July 11, 2021.

Recall that among the participants European Championship there is also Ukrainian national team. 

"Together with colleagues from the UEFA Executive Committee, we supported the draft decision to carry over Euro 2020 to next year," said Andriy Pavelko, President of the Ukrainian Football Association. - No panic - just a cold assessment of the current state of affairs and concern for fans, players, coaches and everyone who creates modern football. The UEFA Task Force will continue to monitor in detail the situation related to the coronavirus pandemic and propose a schedule for the continuation of club competitions held under the auspices of UEFA, as well as friendly matches of national teams.

According to press release, all competitions and matches under the auspices of UEFA (including friendly) for clubs and national teams among both men and women have been suspended. Euro 2020 playoffs and international friendly matches scheduled for the end of March should take place in the international window in early June, if the situation allows. It is also reported that a working group has been set up with representatives of leagues and clubs to study calendar decisions that would allow to end the current season.

Decisions on new dates for other UEFA Men's and Women's competitions and teams will be announced shortly.
