UEFA Decisions to Postpone Team and Club Tournaments in 2020-2021

In addition to postponing the European Championship final tournament from 2020 for 2021, today UEFA has decided on other tournaments due to the pandemic.

National teams competitions:

- Euro-2020 playoff matches scheduled for March will be postponed to June this year (the deadline may change);

- the qualifying matches for the 2022 World Cup, scheduled for June 2021, will be postponed to other dates;

- The final of the four League of Nations 2020/2021, Euro 2021 (U-21) and Women's Euro 2021, which were to take place in June and July 2021, will be played on other dates;

- Clubs will be obliged to release their players for all national team matches that will take place on new dates.

Club competitions:

- if the situation allows, every effort will be made to complete all games in national tournaments and European cups by June 30, 2020;

- National leagues will play matches in the middle of the week, and European Cup matches will take place on weekends;

- the dates of the qualifying rounds of the European Cups in the 2020/2021 season will be determined depending on the end of the 2019/2020 season.
