The manager of the national team of cyberfootball: "Little luck in the match with Montenegro"

The manager of the national team of cyber football in the discipline of PES Konstantin Demyanenko evaluated the performance of his team on the first day of the European Championship 2020. 

On Monday, the PES Cyberfootball Team of Ukraine started in the qualifying tournament eEURO-2020. In their group H, the Ukrainians won over Wales (3: 0), Andorra (6: 2) and the Faroe Islands (13: 2), drew with Montenegro (2: 2) and lost to the favorite of our six - Italy (0: 8). ). 

After the first day of play, the national team of Ukraine ranks third in the group, one point behind Montenegro and three - Italy. 

The manager of Ukrainian cyber football players Konstantin Demyanenko praised the team's performance: “The result is generally normal. It was possible, of course, to play better, but still our team is a debutant of competitions of this rank. However, everything is in our hands, we can definitely compete for the second place, and even the first one - only at a distance of three points.

In the first match, with the Italians, we burned out and lost quite deservedly. It was a confrontation with professionals who take part in top-level tournaments for more than a year. We lost with a big score, but then got together and played much better with other opponents. We were a little unlucky with Montenegro, we had all the chances to beat this team, but, unfortunately, we did not realize many moments. There were no problems with other opponents. 

Given that all the matches are recorded, in the next two weeks we will analyze each opponent. In fact, one cyber football player plays for Montenegro. Probably, we will prepare one of our guys for it specifically. Let's develop a plan for the game. The Italians, on the other hand, have four very strong players, so it will be more difficult there. Most likely still count on second place. With other teams that are a little weaker, the main thing is concentration, then there should be no problems. 

Practice has shown that our two main players did not live up to one hundred percent of the expectations placed on them. They played no longer because they are much stronger than the reservists, but because we were counting on them at this particular moment. So, probably, on the second day of the game there will be castling and substitutions in the squads for key matches. "

It will be recalled that the second game day of the first group stage is March 30. The matches of the second stage of selection will take place on May 4 and 11. The final tournament among the 16 best national teams of Europe is scheduled for July 9-10 in London.

The winners of each of the 2020 qualifying groups will receive a direct pass to the 10 European Championship. The second-place teams will take part in the second stage of selection, which will determine six more participants in eEURO-2020.
