Rival for Euro 2020. Netherlands coach Ronald Kuman made the statement

The head coach of the Netherlands national team, which is the contender of the national team of Ukraine for Euro-2020, Ronald Kuman together with the coach of the women's national team of Sarina Wigman on the official site of the Football Federation of the Netherlands made a special statement on the current situation related to the coronavirus pandemic.

The appeal, in particular, states:

"Of course, it is very bad that the national championships and European Cup tournaments have stopped and that the Olympic Games are in question. Of course, it is very sad that we cannot play the scheduled international matches, that the preparations for Euro 2020 have stopped. 

But there is no doubt about the danger of the coronavirus, which has now interfered in everyone's life. We have also suffered from the events caused by the disease in our country and far beyond. We extend our condolences to the families of those who have died from the virus. We wish everyone who is in the hospital or recovering at home strength and inspiration.

We are grateful to those who protect our health, who are fighting around the clock to save patients in hospitals. These heroes work not only in health care but also in other areas where work cannot be suspended.

One thing is clear to us - we will overcome it! Later we will play football again, the stadiums will turn orange again, and we hope that we will be able to count on your support again, at home in front of the screen and in stadiums all over the world! ”

We would like to remind you that the Netherlands Championship is currently suspended until 6 April. Today there will be a joint meeting of representatives of the Football Union of the Netherlands, the Eredivisie National League and clubs. It may prolong the season break.
