The FIFA Task Force has released its recommendations on international tournaments and other topical issues

The FIFA Working Group, which was recently set up to find ways to overcome the problems caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and which includes representatives of the FIFA administration, as well as the Secretaries-General and senior officials of all confederations, unanimously endorsed a series of recommendations. About this the .

Concerning the international calendar in men's football:

- postpone all international matches to be played during the next official window in June 2020;

- to organize bilateral meetings with the confederations on the qualifying tournaments of the 2022 World Cup in order to finalize the revised schedule of matches.

Concerning the international calendar in women's football:

- postpone all international matches to be played during the next official window in June 2020;

- agree on new dates for the Olympic tournament among women in the international calendar;

- create a working group on possible changes in the calendar of FIFA final tournaments.

Concerning FIFA competitions:

- Postpone the WU-20 Women's World Championships to be held in Panama and Costa Rica in August-September 2020 and the WU-17 Women's World Championships to be held in India in November 2020. New dates for these tournaments will be determined later;

- the decision on the 2020 Futsal World Cup, which is to take place in Lithuania in September, will be made by the end of April 2020;  

For the postponed men's Olympic tournament (preliminary and final competitions):

- keep the initial criteria for participants: players born on or after 1 January 1997 and three additional players of any age.

Regarding football regulatory issues:

- Support the work of the FIFA-led working group on transfers (consisting of all key stakeholders - confederations, associations, leagues, clubs and players) to issue guidance and recommendations as soon as possible.

Concerning the creation of a Global Football Support Fund:

- to appoint one person in each confederation to coordinate this topic with FIFA.
