UAF's concern about combatants quarantined

Together with the medical front, which Ukraine is now holding against COVID-19, fighting continues against the aggressor in the east of the country.

Every day, our defenders risk their lives and health to preserve independence and peace in our country. Unfortunately, many of them are injured, so it is very important to support them in the treatment that the heroes are undergoing, in particular, in the Main Military Hospital, which is near the Football House.

On the initiative of the President of the Ukrainian Football Association, member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko, the representatives of the Association visited hospitals and handed over to the wounded soldiers the means of personal medical protection, utensils, gifts, souvenirs, food, treats, as well as necessary household items daily.

The heroes were especially pleased with the embroideries with national symbols and the symbols of the main team of Ukraine. It was noticeable that such a gift raised the spirits of wounded soldiers. The fighters did not hide that they were eagerly awaiting the completion of treatment and quarantine to attend the next match of the national team of Ukraine, at which our heroes are always welcome guests.

UAF representatives also handed personal protective equipment, including masks and gloves, to the hospital's doctors, with whom the UAF's association and leadership have been working closely for many years to help wounded soldiers. Permanent visits and visits of fighters to metropolitan hospitals and medical establishments where warriors are being treated in the regions, UAF President Andriy Pavelko, other association leaders, national team head coach Andriy Shevchenko, as well as coaches and players of youth and youth teams teams, on the eve of the holidays and on any other occasion.

Defenders of Ukraine are traditionally invited to open trainings of the national team, national team matches and receive comprehensive support in organizing competitions with the participation of combat veterans. It is also nice to mention that the players and the coaching staff dedicated all the defenders of Ukraine to the historic victory of the main team over the current European champion - the Portuguese national team, which secured the blue and yellows from the first place in the group. It is with such dedication that this historic achievement will go down in the history of Ukrainian football.
