Work continues on the UAF initiative to help at time of COVID-XNUMX pandemic

Ukrainian Association of Football initiative helps to tackle the spread of coronavirus and supports those people who are most in need at this time. 

In particular, in the coming week, on the initiative of Ukrainian Association of Football president Andrii Pavelko, representatives of UAF visited the Main Military Hospitallocated near the House of Football, and handed over to the wounded soldiers in the east of the country, personal protective equipment, utensils, gifts, souvenirs, food, treats, as well as essential household items.

Oleksandr Shevchenko, the head of Lviv Regional Football Association personally contributed financiallyso that the 8th Clinical Hospital of the city of Lviv would receive mattresses, blankets, pillows, sheets and bedding sets for a total of UAH 250. 

In Sumy, the head of regional football association Andrii Prokhorovych and the deputy chairman of AFSO Albert Molhamov handed over the food kits to former famous players and coaches - Mykola Abramov, Valerii Zhylin and Anatolii Karpenko.

Veterans of Luhansk football also obtained food kits from the regional association's head Igor Shopin who conveyed assistance to the footballers of the past and and their families.

The Association of Football Veterans of Ukraine keeps in touch with veterans on a daily basis, assisting in the spread of the COVID-19 virus and maintaining quarantine in the country by delivering products, medicines and personal protective equipment home. One day they received help from the AVFU outstanding players of the 50's and 60'swho won the first gold of the USSR Championship for Dynamo Kyiv - Andrii Biba, Anatolii Suchkov and Volodymyr Sorokin, as well as the famous journalist Oleksandr Lipenko.

During the quarantine period, the Coordinating Staff of Ternopil Regional Football Association, in cooperation with the authorities, assists veterans of local football.

AFT head Taras Yuryk and his first deputy Vasyl Zatorskyi visited the famous football players and coaches of the region - Vladimir Proshkin, Boris Yurov, Valery Tatarinov and Yuri Pasko, providing them with food kits and personal protective equipment.

Football Association of Zhytomye region continues to assist an old aged veterans. Staff members handed over the food kits and personal protective equipment for veterans of football in Zhytomyr region.

The "Help a Friend" challenge is continued by the Dnipropetrovsk Region Football Association. AFDO Chairman Viktor Andrukhiv with his team visited Dnipro veterans and at this difficult time he helped them with food kits and encouraged them morally, because now it is very important and necessary for them.
