Rival in Nations League: What awaits Switzerland in 2020

The Swiss national team, which will be one of the rivals of the Ukrainian team in the A4 group of the League of Nations 2020/2021, plans to hold its next matches in September. 

The UEFA Executive Committee canceled June friendly matches of all European teams due to the coronavirus pandemic.  

Earlier, Vladimir Petkovich's wards canceled control matches against Croatia (March 26) and Belgium (March 30). Following the UEFA decision, the Swiss will also not be able to play friendly matches in Basel with Germany (May 31) and in St. Gallen with Liechtenstein (June 4).

UEFA verdict UEFA EURO 2020 on 2021 led to a change in the terms of the Swiss matches in the group stage of the tournament with the national teams of Italy, Turkey and Wales.

Thus, the next matches of the Swiss are now matches in the framework in Nations League 2020/2021. They got into the A4 group together with the teams of Ukraine, Spain and Germany. It is through this tournament that Vladimir Petkovich's wards will prepare for the European Championship games.
