UEFA held a meeting with 55 national associations
On April 23, the UEFA Executive Committee will hold a videoconference meeting to discuss the state of affairs in European football amid the coronavirus outbreak.
The event will be held as a result of today's information meeting with general secretaries of all 55 UEFA national associations.
On April 21, the Union of European Football Associations presented updated versions, which were considered by two working groups set up in mid-March. First, various draft calendars of competitions concerning both national and club teams were discussed. Second, funding for national associations through the Hat Trick program was considered. UEFA has reaffirmed its determination to make payments to associations, as planned. Third, UEFA strongly recommended completing the national championships in the top divisions and the national cup draw. In case of complete impossibility of such an option, special recommendations for the participation of clubs of such leagues in European Cups will be developed later.
All decisions on the above issues will be announced after a video conference by the UEFA Executive Committee on Thursday, April 23.
