First win at European Nations Cup

In the first match of the online competition #StayHome European Nations Cup, the national team of Ukraine in cyber football in the discipline of PES confidently defeated the team of Azerbaijan.  

Teams from 12 countries are taking part in the tournament, which was organized by the Federation of E-Sports of Ukraine together with the European E-Sports Federation. It takes place in three disciplines - CS: GO, League of Legends and Pro Evolution Soccer (PES).

The national team of Ukraine in cyber football in the discipline of PES in these competitions is represented by three players - Vitaliy Budb_proshe Litvinov, Maxim Makson Andrasyuk and Igor Ighor_8 Lyubchak.

In the first match of the group 1 Ukraine met Azerbaijan. Maksym Makson Andrasyuk played for Ukraine, and Firuz Buksaev did that for our rivals. The duel was to last until two victories, but the challenge ended much faster.

Our gamer had a total advantage throughout the confrontation. In the first match Makson won dry - 3: 0, and the fate of the second actually decided in the first half - 4: 1. In the second half of the game, the Ukrainian calmly brought the case to victory - 6: 2.

After this victory, Ukraine got three points in Group 1. In the second match of our quartet today Serbia and Georgia meet each other.  

It should be be recalled that in the group round, Ukrainian cyber football players play three series, each of which lasts up to two victories (a total of six to nine games can be played). Participants are awarded three points for winning the series, and zero for losing.

The two best teams from each group and two best third-placed teams, will qualify for the playoff round. In the future, the teams will compete in the relegation series to two victories, and the final challenge will last up to three victories.

Ukraine will hold the next series on the virtual football fields of PES on Wednesday, May 20, with Georgia (starting at 19.00). The Ukrainians will end the group stage with matches against Serbia on May 27 (starting at 19.00).

All games of the Ukrainian national team will be broadcast on the YouTube channel of the Ukrainian Association of Football.
