The first Women's World Cup with the participation of 32 teams will take place outside Europe

An online meeting of the FIFA Council will be held on June 25, at which the host country of the 2023 Women's World Cup will be named, reports FIFA official website.

For the first time in history, 32 national women's national teams will take part in the final tournament. 10 countries applied for the World Cup: Belgium, Brazil, South Africa, Argentina, Australia, Bolivia, Colombia, Japan, New Zealand and South Korea. Four applicants will take part in the final stage of the competition: a joint application from Australia and New Zealand, Brazil, Colombia and Japan.

Qualifying matches will start in 2021 and finish in 2022. The final tournament is scheduled for the period from July 10 to August 20, 2023.

It should be reminded that in the previous World Cup qualifying the national team of Ukraine took third place in its group and did not get to the forum held in France in 2019.
