Ukraine cyber football team lost to Germany in exhibition game

Today the Ukrainian national cyber football team in the discipline of PES in an exhibition match lost to the team of Germany.

On Tuesday, Ukrainian cyber football players met in an exhibition match with a strong side - national team of Germany. Ukrainian rivals have reached the finals of eEURO-2020, where they will play in Group A together with Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina and Romania. Our team, unfortunately, did not qualify for the final part of the European Championship, finishing third in its group after Italy and Montenegro.   

Maksym Makson Andrasyuk, Serhii Sergobibika Marchenko, Ihor ighor_8 Lyubchak and Vitalii Budb_Proshe Lytvynov played for today's blue-yellow squad. The Germans were represented by Matthias Winkler, Mehrab Esmailian, Mike Linden and Payam Zeynali.

Igor Lyubchak and Matthias Winkler met in the first match. Our gamer had a stronger fight than his opponent and put a good start to the confrontation. Leading in the first half, Igor doubled his advantage in the second. Already in overtime, the national team of Ukraine received the right to score a penalty, but the German goalkeeper was at the height. However, 2-0 is a very convincing victory.  

In the second game, Maksym Andrasyuk and Payam Zeynali faced each other. The German started the duel more actively, created a few moments and could open the score from the penalty spot. However, our goalkeeper parried the shot. And yet in the middle of the first half Zeynali still came out ahead - 1: 0. Even before the break, the opponents exchanged very sharp moments, but Makson lacked accuracy, and Payam hit the post. In the second half there was an equal game with a large number of mistakes and almost no moments. However, already in overtime Andrasyuk managed a quick counterattack, and the score equalized. As a result, a draw - 1: 1. 

Vitaliy Litvinov and Mehrab Esmailian met in the third match. The game was extremely fast. Opponents in the first minutes exchanged goals, but then the initiative was firmly captured by the German gamer. Before the break, he scored twice more - 1: 3. But the beginning of the second half was after Litvinov, who first reduced the gap between the blue and yellows, and soon restored the balance. By the end of the match, the opponents scored on the ball, but still the decisive blow was left for Esmailian - 4: 5.

In the decisive confrontation, Serhiy Marchenko and Mike Linden fought for victory in the whole meeting. The German immediately proved the seriousness of his intentions, scoring two goals at the beginning of the match. In the second half, Serhiy missed again, and the fate of the match and the confrontation seemed to be decided. However, the Ukrainian scored two goals and had a chance to save the match. Unfortunately, there was not enough time to do it - 2: 3.

Thus, following the results of four matches, the national team of Ukraine lost 1: 2.
