Volodymyr Yezerskyi: September friendly matches with Bulgaria remain in force

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine U-18 Volodymyr Yezerskyi really wants the competitions to get into the usual rhythm.

This year the youth national team of Ukraine (footballers not older than 2002 of birth) should start in the qualifying round of 2021 European Championship (U-19). Volodymyr Yezerskyi told about the latest team's news.

 - Two training camps of your team did not take place due to the coronavirus ...

- Sorry, of course. These were two representative tournaments, from which one could learn a lot. Now we are looking forward to the start of the next season of DUFLU, as well as matches of new tournaments among the U-19 and U-21 teams.

As for the fees, we are monitoring the situation, how the coronavirus will behave. In any case, our away control matches with the Bulgarian national team in early September have not been canceled. In November, according to the plan, we have matches of the qualifying round of the European Championship. There is not much time left, so I really want the competition to get back into its usual rhythm.

- Do you somehow keep in touch with the wards?

- Yes, we have a group in Viber with the coaching staff and players, we are always in touch.

- Do you think the teams will be able to approach the restart of the UPL in full force?

- Unlikely. The body of each player perceives individual loads in their own way. Although the foundation laid in the winter will allow players to achieve good condition in a couple of matches.

- Have you been missing football during quarantine?

- Of course. However, raising a son gives its positive.

It should be added that the final collection before the Euro-2021 (U-19) qualifying round Volodymyr Yezerskyi's wards will hold at home between October 5 and October 13, playing two friendly games.

Well, the selection itself will take place in November. The matches will take place on the 10th, 13th and 16th. The rivals of the blue-yellows will be the teams of Montenegro, Belarus and Israel (host of the tournament). The winners of the first two places in the groups of the qualifying stage and the best team from among those who will take the third places according to the results of the matches with the first and second national teams will get to the elite round.
