After a break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, the Ukrainian Premier League in XNUMX/XNUMX season has resumed. All matches took place without spectators, with observance of the corresponding ones recommendations and protocol.

The break in the tournament lasted two and a half months, from March 15, when the last matches of the 23rd round were played. Today there were two matches in the tournament of teams competing for 1-6 places, and one match of the participants of the second six. It was noticeable that the teams are not in the best shape, which is not surprising after such a break, but all the games were lively and interesting.

Zorya, which is fighting for a second place and a ticket to the Champions League, was defeated in Oleksandriya. The hosts attacked no less sharply during the game, especially from the set pieces, and the decisive moment took place in overtime. Referee Aranovskyi awarded a penalty kick against Zorya with the usage of VAR system. Grechyshkin did not make a mistake from the 11-meter. Goalkeeper Pankiv, who was recently called up to the training camp of the national team of Ukraine, played the whole match for the hosts.

In another match of the top six Kolos in Kyiv at the Obolon-Arena stadium lost to Desna. It should be noted that the game, which opened the program of the tour, was attended by the UAF President, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andrii Pavelko and the UAF first vice-president Oleh Protasov.

Both teams created enough chances, but the guests were more accurate. Gavrysh did not use the best chance to score for Kolos. Icelander Wilhamsson earned an 11-meter penalty, forcing Denys Favorov to foul on himself, but the captain of the hosts failed to beat the goalkeeper of Desna Past.

In the meeting of teams competing for 7-12 places, Dnipro-1 confirmed the status of the best team in the second six, confidently defeating Olimpik - 3: 1.
