UEFA decisions on club licensing rules, financial Fair Play and transfer window

The UEFA Executive Committee, which was met by video conference by UAFA President Andriy Pavelko, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, approved a series of temporary emergency measures on 18 June.

Among them, in particular, given the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the financial position of FC, addition to the club licensing rules and financial Fair Play, the UEFA official website reports.

These measures were developed and unanimously supported by all members of the UEFA Emergency Working Group on Legal and Financial Affairs, which included representatives of UEFA, the Association of European Clubs, European Leagues and the FIFPRO Europe players' union.

Transfer window

The deadline for submitting applications for the group stages of the 2020/2021 European Cup tournaments is set until October 6, 2020. In this regard, the UEFA Executive Committee called on European associations to postpone the closure of the summer transfer window to 5 October this year.
