Officially. UAF RC analysis of referee Bondar actions in the First League match Inhulets - Prykarpattya

The Referees Committee of the Ukrainian Association of Football (UAF RC) evaluated the work of referee Ivan Bondar at the match of the First League 24th round between Inhulets and Prykarpattya.

In particular, two technical-disciplinary episodes were revealed, in which the referee made illogical decisions that are not related to the Rules of the Game.

53 min. - accidental contact between Inhulets defender and Prykarpattya striker, who falls on the pitch due to the usual natural dynamics of movement. The Referee's interpretation is somewhat exaggerated and, above all, illogical, and this has led to the unfair sending-off of the Prykarpattya striker by receiving a second yellow card. In addition, this event led to a fair but undisciplined display of anger by the coach, whom the referee was forced to sent-off. All this was caused by a wrong decision, which is difficult to explain from a technical point of view (from the point of view of the Rules of the game).

90 + 3 min. - The Inhulets striker performs a clear, demonstrative and theatrical simulation, falling on the pitch. The referee's decision to award a penalty at a time when no violation has occurred is such that it is neither possible to explain nor in any way justify the provisions of the Rules of the Game.

UAF Referees Committee expresses surprise at the low technical level of refereeing and announces that at the next meeting of UAF RC it will be proposed to exclude I. Bondar from the list of referees who serve matches among professional teams.

Due to the strangeness of the referee's decisions, the UAF RC is forced to refer the case to the UAF Ethics and Fair Play Committee and the UAF Control and Disciplinary Committee to verify the naturalness of his actions in the field, which may have been caused by his mediocrity or other external factors that led to such poor refereeing.
