Ukraine in the European Cups 2020/2021: scheme and schedule of clubs start
After the matches, of UPL 32nd round a schedule of Ukrainian clubs start in the European Cups next season became known. Our association will be represented on the international arena by five clubs.
Thus, Shakhtar, as the winner of the Premier League, has a ticket to the group stage of the Champions League. Dynamo Kyiv, which won silver medals, goes to the third qualifying round of the Champions League. Kyiv's team will have to overcome the resistance of two rivals to get to the group stage. In case of failure at any stage, our representative will automatically move to the group round of the Europa League.
Ukraine will be represented by three clubs in the Europa League. The winner of the Ukrainian Cup should have reached the group stage immediately, but the success of Dynamo gave such a right to the bronze medalist of the Premier League - Zorya Luhansk.
In turn, UPL playoffs winner, in the semifinals of which Oleksandriya faces Mariupol and Kolos Kovalivka - Dnipro-1, will start in the second qualifying round, and the fourth team of UPL (Desna Chernihiv) - in the third. Thus, our delegates will need to pass three and two opponents, respectively, to get to the group stage of the Europa League.
