Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine to promote the digitalization of registration, organization and holding of football competitions

The Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine is launching a partnership with the Ukrainian Football Association to expand access to information related to the achievements of Ukrainian football, the organization and conduct of competitions, the growth of the level and popularity of football among all segments of the Ukrainian population.

On July 20 of this year, the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine signed a memorandum of cooperation with the public association "Ukrainian Football Association". 

The parties agreed to cooperate in the following areas:

- assistance in digitalization of registration, organization and holding of football competitions;

- promoting the use of electronic display of information contained in the passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the form of a card, and electronic display of information contained in the passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad, using the mobile application "Action";

- assistance in organizing and holding conferences, visits, meetings, seminars, round tables, trainings, festivals, exhibitions, etc. on cooperation issues.

During the signing ceremony of the memorandum, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation for European Integration Valeria Ionan stressed that digital technologies open up many opportunities for sports, including football. "Our goal is to make digital technology more common in the football industry at various levels. We can help with employee digital literacy training through “Action. Digital Education ”and to implement joint projects for entrepreneurs within the framework of“ Action. Business ", - Valeria Ionan emphasized.    

In turn, the first vice-president of the Ukrainian Association of Football Vadym Kostyuchenko said that there are many areas of digital transformation, which the association is going to implement with the advisory support of the Ministry. "From the electronic passport of the fan to the electronic passport of the player. We are also grateful to join the digital literacy training program, which is especially needed in the regions of Ukraine," - Vadym Kostyuchenko stressed.
