The decision to expand the local Super League to the 21st team was made by the Board of Directors of the Turkish Football Federation, the official TFF website.
In the new season, all eighteen participants of last year's tournament, the two best teams of the first league 2019/2020 - "Hatayspor" and "Erzurumspor", as well as the winner of the playoffs to reach the Super League "Fatih Karagumryuk" will perform.
