Europa League. Shakhtar will try to make it to the semifinal for the third time in their history

Today, August 10, the first two quarterfinal matches of the Europa League of the 2019/2020 season will take place. And tomorrow, August 11, is another decisive day for Shakhtar Donetsk, which will try to make it to the semifinals of the tournament for the third time in its history.

It will be recalled that for the first time the miners entered the quartet of contenders for the then UEFA Cup in the 2008/2009 season. That campaign ended with Shakhtar's victory in the competition.

For the second time, the Orange and Blacks reached the semifinals of the Europa League in the 2015/2016 season, but lost to Spanish Sevilla in two matches.
