The Amateur Football Association of Ukraine became a public union, Oleksandr Kadenko elected as its chairman

The IX AAFU Conference took place in the House of Football, during which the delegates recognized the completion of the process of reorganization of the All-Ukrainian Union of Public Organizations "Association of Amateur Football of Ukraine" by transforming it (change of organizational and legal form) from a public organization to a public association, the official site of AAFU reports.

Before the start of the work, the delegates observed a minute of silence in memory of Fedir Shpyh, the AAFU president since 1998, who tragically died in a car accident in the spring.

The conference was followed by the inaugural meeting of the AAFU. The delegates approved the establishment of the public association "Amateur Football Association of Ukraine" in the organizational and legal form "public association", approved the charter of the union and elected its governing bodies.

Oleksandr Kadenko, who previously held the position of the first vice-president, was elected the chairman of the AAFU. His deputies have become Andrii Biba, Taras Klym and Myron Chernetskyi. The Executive Committee, Control and Disciplinary and Audit Commissions members of the AAFU were also elected.
