The Ukrainian beach soccer team is going to Portugal for the Euroleague Super Final

The Ukrainian beach soccer team has completed a four-day training camp in Kyiv and is leaving for Nazare, Portugal today, where it will take part in the Euroleague Super Final.

The new mentor of the blue-yellows Mykola Kostenko, who recently changed to this post Yevhen Varenytsia, invited 11 performers to participate in the prestigious tournament. 

The composition of the national beach soccer team

Goalkeepers: Vladimir Gladchenko (Beachsoccer), Denis Sabatyuk ("Alternative").

Outfield players: Maksym Voitok, Dmytro Voitenko, Yaroslav Zavorotny (all - "VIT"), Andriy Pashko, Oleg Sirenko (both - "Alternative"), Oleg Zborovsky, Maksym Khyzhnyak (both - Beachsoccer), Yuriy Shcherytsya, Konstantin Makeyev (both - Servit »).  

"At the matches of the Ukrainian championship, which took place a week ago at the Hydropark Arena in Kyiv, we, together with the best goalkeeper in the world Vitaliy Sydorenko, who is part of our coaching staff, meticulously watched all the candidates for the national team. We were at almost all the games, and those who could not be for objective reasons, watched in the video. They monitored all football players, monitored each one, kept statistics of technical and tactical actions.

Therefore, we have a picture of the functional state and game tone of each of the team's players. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we were not able to hold a full-fledged collection, so we took as a basis the condition of the players during the Ukrainian championship. However, we used four days of training. As they say, we have what we have.

But we are still happy that the performers are in a good game tone, this year's Kyiv Championship was of a very high level plus the Ukrainian Championship, where the boys played five matches in five days. I think they are in good shape. The national team is formed on the principle of participation of football players who played in the championships of Kyiv and Ukraine and systematically trained as part of it, "Mykola Kostenko said.

It will be recalled that the 2020 Euroleague Super Final will take place on September 2-6 in Nazar, Portugal. Five national teams have confirmed their participation in the competition - Portugal, France, Switzerland, Germany and Ukraine. They will play in a single-round tournament.
