Today in Kovalivka a solemn opening ceremony of the new stadium took place, where the local Kolos will hold its home matches.

A new modern stadium has appeared in the club of the Ukrainian Premier League "Kolos" (Kovalivka). Reconstruction of the old arena lasted 414 days and cost about 160 million hryvnias. Today, a grand opening ceremony was held, which was attended by the President of the UAF, a member of the UEFA Executive Committee Andriy Pavelko and the President of Kolos Andriy Zasukha.

"In January, when I visited Kovalivka, construction was in full swing, and today FC Kolos, for which the whole of Ukraine will soon support the Europa League qualifiers, received a renovated home, which has the necessary conditions to become the football center of the entire Kyiv region." - noted Andriy Pavelko.

After cutting the symbolic red ribbon, the guests of honor and the media had the opportunity to take a short tour of the newly built stadium. The arena is designed for 5050 spectators and is decorated in the traditional black and white colors for Kolos. The stadium meets all modern requirements of UEFA and can host not only domestic matches, but also matches of qualifying rounds of European Cups.

The arena is equipped with drainage, irrigation and field heating systems. Four stands are waiting for spectators who will be able to fill them as soon as the epidemiological situation in the country allows.

Football locker rooms, referee rooms, showers and conference rooms meet all modern requirements. During the construction of the stadium, the interests of TV broadcasters were taken into account, in particular, special platforms for placing cameras, commentary positions, the PTS zone and everything necessary for the operation of the VAR system were prepared.

After inspecting the arena, the UAF leader said: “Today is a big holiday in Ukrainian football. I am grateful to Koval's Kolos for the great work he has done not only for the Kyiv region, but for the whole country. The club not only demonstrates sports results, winning the right to play in the qualifications of the Europa League, but also plays children's and youth football and develops its infrastructure. This is a stadium of a truly European level, where, I am sure, the future victories of the team will be forged. On a 10-point scale, I would give him 10 points. Today it is the central football arena of Kyiv region.

I am sure that thanks to the infrastructure and logistics of the new stadium, not only the club itself can develop here. I think that soon we will be able to see the matches of the youth, youth and girls' national teams of Ukraine here. It will be a great gift for local fans who will be able to watch international matches of the highest level. "

Andriy Zasukha, the president of Kolos, also shared his thoughts on the new arena: “This stadium is the embodiment of our dream, the dream of the whole team that built it. It is in him - the future of "Colossus". I hope that the arena will serve our club for a long time. I am sure that we will not have any problems with the fullness of the stands. The team's popularity is growing, including due to the right to play in the Europa League qualifiers. There are many cities and towns around, the quality of roads in our area is high and the logistics are very simple. I think that five thousand spectators is not so much that the stadium is not filled. "

The first official match in the new arena is scheduled for September 12. On this day, Kolos will meet Lviv in the second round of the Ukrainian championship.
