Defender of the national team of Ukraine Bohdan Mykhailychenko commented on the victory of the blue and yellows over the Swiss team.

In the opening round of the League of Nations, Andriy Shevchenko's wards won with a score of 2: 1. In the match against Switzerland, the debutant of the national team of Ukraine Bohdan Mykhailychenko scored a goal assist. After the game, the defender shared his impressions.

- First of all, I want to thank the coaching staff, who entrusted me with a place in the starting lineup. Winning is the most important thing. I gave a productive pass, but the whole goal was scored by Zinchenko. This was my debut. The game showed that there is still a lot to work on.

— How strong was your excitement at the beginning of the match?

- Of course, I was worried. I think everyone in the national team experiences such feelings during the debut match. In the first half I lost the ball, it was not always possible to give it to my partner. In the second half of the game it turned out better. In general, the team began to play more confidently after the break.

— Why was the national team of Ukraine very difficult in the first half?

- We played against a very strong team, which pressed us. It was very difficult to get out of defense. But in the second half the Swiss got a little tired, we got more space and managed to score the ball. I think we should have played easier. But we won with a score of 2: 1, which is great.

- The next opponent is the Spanish national team. There is very little time to recover…

- Spain is a top team. Every footballer dreams of playing against such a team. Now we will recover and prepare for the match.
