The 11x11 Champions project is bearing fruit

On September 12, a stadium for the local football club Trubizh was opened in the village of Korzhi, Baryshivskyi district, Kyiv region, on the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports.

The first impetus for further large investments was the participation of the local community in the project "11x11 champions. Football for the Development of Youth and Regions ”, which was successfully implemented last year by the Amateur Football Association of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Football Association with the support of the German Embassy in Ukraine and the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) GmbH.

The project resulted in improving the infrastructure of 11 football clubs in small communities, increasing their efficiency and training of their coaches and managers using the German club experience, mass involvement of children and youth, increased volunteering, interest in local government and business, skills self-investment.

In each of the 11 communities, the project has shown signs of sustainable development, and infrastructure improvements with increasing local investment continue. An example of this is the continuation of local initiatives initiated by the project in the club "Trubizh" to build capacity and implement a range of works to build a stadium for the community.

The decoration of the holiday was a match of local stars - football veterans.

"We hope for further fruitful cooperation in such projects, thanks to which thousands of boys and girls from small communities get the opportunity to play their favorite game in modern European conditions," said Vadym Kostyuchenko, who spoke on behalf of UAF President and UEFA Executive Committee member Andriy Pavelko. and the head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko congratulated everyone on the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, after which he presented the local football community with exclusive gifts from the main team of the country, in particular - a symbolic T-shirt "12 players Korzhi".
