Vitaly Odegov: "Preparing for the Euro qualifiers, we plan to hold meetings once a month"

The head coach of the youth national team of Ukraine in U-19 futsal Vitaliy Odegov outlined the plans of his team for the near future.

From 15 to 19 September blue-yellow held a training camp in Kharkiv. During this period, the team played two control matches (with "Monolith-Viva Cup" - 0: 2 and "Cheetah" - 2: 3). After that, her head coach Vitaly Odegov told about the future plans of the team.

— Has the team changed much in the six months since the previous training camp?

- This time we invited three newcomers to the national team and watched them in action. All other performers have already been invited to the team, not for the first time at the meeting. Maksym Malynovsky was slightly injured on the penultimate day - he twisted his leg during training. In this regard, he did not participate in the last match.

— During the training camp, the team held two sparring matches. Did you manage to fulfill the tasks set in them?

- We fulfilled the practical moments that we wanted to accomplish in full. Everything we worked on, the guys realized one hundred percent.

— What are the future plans of the national team?

- We plan to meet once a month. The next one will take place in late October. We have two matches planned for this period with the Belgian team at home. But due to the epidemiological situation, their federation sent us a letter stating that they would not be able to come. Now the Futsal Association of Ukraine is actively looking for a possible replacement. Maybe someone from the CIS will be able to play with us.

Sparring with the Poles is planned for November. But let's look at the situation, because everything is changing very quickly. We also plan to collect in December. The Italians were supposed to come to us at that time, but two weeks ago they addressed the AFU with the same letter as the Belgians.

— After of the draw Euro-2021 qualifiers in October will the situation become clearer?

- It will become clear who our rivals are and where the matches will take place. The draw will provide us with information about the opponents. And we will continue to prepare in working mode once a month.
