September. Chronicle of events: the start of the League of Nations, the northern European tour of the youth team and the victory of the national women's team

In September, after a long break caused by the pandemic, matches of tournaments at the level of national teams, in which representatives of Ukraine take part, resumed.

September 1. Started the second wave of training of VAR arbitrators, conducted by the Ukrainian Football Association. In the first days of autumn, the officials of the match will consolidate the acquired knowledge in the mode of training matches, and the UAF Referees Committee will soon be replenished among certified VAR instructors.

The new wave covers 14 people who will be qualified to work with VAR. Graduates of the second wave of training will be fully involved in the matches of Ukrainian competitions from the 5th round of the current UPL championship.

September 2. The national futsal team of Ukraine has learned the names of its rivals in the Euro-2022 qualifiers. According to the results draw of the group qualification round At the European Futsal Championships in Nyon, Switzerland, the blue and yellows are in Group 1, where they will play against Croatia, Albania and the winner of the clashes of the qualifying round between the teams of San Marino and Denmark.

September 2. The grand opening ceremony of the new stadium, where FC Kolos will play its home matches, took place in Kovalivka, Kyiv region.

Reconstruction of the old arena lasted 414 days and cost about 160 million hryvnias. The opening ceremony was attended by UAF President Andriy Pavelko, UEFA Executive Committee member and Kolos President Andriy Zasukha.

"In January, when I visited Kovalivka, construction was in full swing, and today FC Kolos, for which the whole of Ukraine will soon support the Europa League qualifiers, received a renovated home, which has the necessary conditions to become the football center of the entire Kyiv region." - noted Andriy Pavelko.

September 3. The national team of Ukraine started its performance in Division A of the League of Nations with a victory over the Swiss team. Match in Lviv ended with a score of 2: 1 in favor of the blue and yellow. English legionnaires Yarmolenko and Zinchenko scored goals for the hosts. They were assisted by Tymchyk and Mykhaylichenko, respectively, two debutants for whom the game with the Swiss became the first for the main team.

After this victory, the blue and yellows led the group 4 of the elite division of the League of Nations.

"The debutants acted very confidently, they fully fulfilled the tasks we set. After a good connection of Tymchyk, we scored the first goal ... As for substitutions, we could only make three of them. During the match, I took into account the different condition of the players. Those players who were on the field kept the rhythm of the game, substitutions were unnecessary. Besides, I wasn't sure that the artist would be able to enter such a game. September 4. The signing the agreement between ARBER and the Ukrainian Football Association, according to which ARBER creates an official collection of business clothes for the national team of Ukraine and the official delegation of the UAF.

The agreement defines an expanded format of cooperation, which, in addition to the above, provides for the creation and active distribution of a unique joint capsule collection of casual clothing ARBER-UAFootball for millions of football fans and fans of quality clothing from ARBER.

September 4. Youth team of Ukraine played a draw on the road (1: 1) with the leader of qualifying group 8 Euro-2021 (U-21) - the Danish team. The Blue and Yellows opened the scoring in the 74th minute (Sikan scored) and missed the ball in response in the fifth minute, losing a win that was so close.

Head coach of the blue and yellows Andriy Shevchenko explained the poor outcome of the match tired players after the previous meeting: "The main problem was that our team did not recover. The second game at this level is always difficult. When we meet the top teams, it is very difficult for us to recover later. The boys gave their all on the field, but Spain was better. "

September 8. Youth team of Ukraine confidently defeated the Finnish team in the away match of the selection of Euro-2021 (U-21). Ruslan Rotan's charges decided the fate of the match in the first 45 minutes thanks to the goals of Konopli and Sikan. The match will take place in Ballimena at Showgrands Stadium.

September 11. Ministry of Health of Ukraine in a letter to the UAF confirmed the possibility holding international club matches and matches of national teams with fans in the "green" and "yellow" zones.

President of the Ukrainian Association of Football, the UEFA Executive Committee member Andrii Pavelko commented on the letter of the head of the Ministry of Health and expressed confidence that the support of spectators will help our teams in important matches:

- For the last month and a half we have managed to return the spectators to the stands in the UPL, First and Second league matches where the epidemiological situation allows. The next step is the return of fans to the international matches of our clubs and national teams. This also requires a separate decision of the Ministry of Health. After lengthy consultations, we sent a request and received a positive response from Minister Maksym Stepanov.

September 11. Decree of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky № 387/2020 on the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports state awards and representatives of the Ukrainian Football Association.

September 12. On the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports on the initiative of Minimolsport together with the All-Ukrainian Center for Physical Health "Sports for All" and UAF were held physical culture and health-improving activities.

September 12. On the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports in the village of Korzhi, Baryshiv district, Kyiv region the stadium was opened for the local football club "Trubizh".

Officially announced, that on October 7 this year at the stadium "Stade de France" in Saint-Denis the national team of Ukraine will hold a friendly match with the current world champion - the team of France. The match was scheduled for March 27, but was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the decision of the UEFA Executive Committee.

September 16. The UEFA Executive Committee, of which UAF President Andriy Pavelko is a member, has decided on some tournaments in connection with the situation with the COVID-19 virus in Europe. In particular, the format has been changed Women's Champions League season-2020/2021, Futsal Champions League season 2020/2021 and Euro-2020 (U-19) qualifying round.

The elite qualifying round of Euro 2020 (U-19) has been postponed from October to November this year. The final stage with the participation of eight teams will be held in Northern Ireland in March 2021. The youth national team of Ukraine U-19, led by Oleg Kuznetsov, in the elite qualifying round of Euro 2020 in Denmark will compete for a ticket to the final stage with the hosts, Latvia and England.

September 16-17. There were 11 matches of the second preliminary stage draw of the Cup of Ukraine-2020/2021. At this stage, the leading teams of the first league joined the fight for the trophy, some of them, in particular "Volyn" had to go the distance.

September 18. . draw of the third (1/16) round Cup of Ukraine-2020/2021. 11 winners of the second preliminary stage (seven clubs of the first league, three clubs of the second league, one amateur team) and 11 clubs of the Premier League took part in the draw of this stage of the Cup of Ukraine. September 18. Kolos Stadium in Kovalivka, Kyiv Region, by UEFA decision was approved the venue of the match of the qualifying tournament for the youth Euro-2021 between the national teams of Ukraine and Northern Ireland.

September 20. Festival of champions of UAF PROTASOV CUP-2020 among children's teams composed of players born in 2010, took place in Kyiv. All 10 participants played three matches.

September 20. After the festival of UAF champions PROTASOV CUP-2020 at NTK. Bannikov the award ceremony took place participants of the Open Championship of the Football Academy of the UAF season 2019/2020, which started last fall. The competitions, which were initiated by the Ukrainian Football Association and supported by the Football Development of Ukraine Charitable Foundation, were attended by 10 metropolitan children's teams formed of football players born in 2010.

Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, it was not possible to hold the competition in full, so the winners were determined based on the results of nine rounds. The winner was SC Kyiv, the second and third places were taken by the teams of FA UAF and FC Troyeshchyna, respectively.

The award ceremony was attended by the first vice-presidents of UAF Vadym Kostyuchenko and Oleg Protasov.

September 21. Head coach of the national team of Ukraine Andriy Shevchenko announced a list of 28 playerscalled for training and participation in matches against France (October 7), Germany (October 10) and Spain (October 13).

Among the called - one newcomer. This is defender Yevhen Cheberko from the Austrian LASK.

September 22. The second victory in a row in the selection of Euro-2022 won the women's national team of Ukraine. In Kyiv at Obolon Arena, Natalia Zinchenko's team did not leave any chances for Greece - 4: 0.

September 24. The meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee, a member of which is the President of the UAF Andriy Pavelko. A number of important decisions have been made for European football.

In particular, it was decided to make up for the matches of the national teams, which were canceled due to a break in March this year and the transfer of the Euro from the summer of 2020 to 2021. These matches will be played by extending the windows in the FIFA calendar in March and September 2021. Definitely dates of the final tournament of the League of Nations (October 6-7 and October 10, 2021). The rule of five substitutions in all matches of the UEFA League of Nations, women's Euro qualifiers, UEFA Champions League, UEFA Europa League, UEFA Women's Champions League and European qualifiers until the end of the current season has remained in force.

The decisions of the UEFA Executive Committee also applied calendar of qualifications for the World Cup-2022 and special events during club and national team tournament matches.

September 29. At the Extraordinary Conference of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, which took place in the House of Football, a new PFL president was elected. According to the unanimous decision of the delegates, this position was held by Oleksandr Kadenko for four years.

The first to greet the appointment of the PFL leader was Andriy Pavelko, President of the UAF and a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, who took part in the event.

The conference also approved the new version of the PFL Charter. PFL football clubs must bring their statutes into line with its requirements within three months.

September 30. In the Football House a press conference was held, during which the first cyber football league in Ukraine was presented, in which everyone will be able to take part.

During the presentation it was announced the beginning of cooperation of the Ukrainian Electronic Football Association with one of the largest domestic e-sports platforms - ESportsBattle, presented a cyber football academy for gamers and future professionals - ESportsBattleAcademy. The event was attended by both representatives of organizations and famous athletes.

September 30. 10 out of 11 matches were played third round (1/16 final) draw of the Cup of Ukraine-2020/2021. The favorites of the confrontations have generally confirmed their status. In particular, the last amateur team in the current draw, "Victoria", lost to the elite "Mariupol" - 1: 3.

September 30. It took place at the Sunny Stadium in Kharkiv the final match of the Cup of Ukraine among the women's teams of the 2019/2020 season between Voskhod (Stara Mayachka) and Zhytlobud-2 (Kharkiv). Zhytlobud-1, which won the trophy for the first time in history, celebrated the victory with a score of 0: 2.
