Officially. FCC UAF suspended FC Dynamo (Kyiv) football player Serhiy Sydorchuk for three matches

The Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Ukrainian Football Association has determined the punishment for Dynamo football player Serhiy Sydorchuk, who was removed in the match against Shakhtar.

According to the report of the referee of the match, the football player of FC Dynamo (Kyiv) Serhiy Sydorchuk was removed for a serious game violation in the match of the 9th round of the Ukrainian Premier League against Shakhtar (Donetsk). At the same time, according to confirmed information (medical certificate and Shakhtar's explanation), as a result, footballer Viktor Kornienko was seriously injured.

In preparation for the case, the UAF SCC asked the UAF Referees Committee to clarify the sanctions for the use of excessive force to injure a player. The response of the refereeing committee was that the use of excessive force was a component of a serious game violation, and excessive force must be used to injure the opponent.

Given the above, in accordance with paragraph 4.1 of Annex 5 to the Disciplinary Rules of the UAF for the use of excessive force with injury provides for suspension for four matches.

Given the explanation of FC Dynamo (Kyiv) regarding Serhiy Sydorchuk as a mitigating circumstance, it was decided to exclude Serhiy Sydorchuk from participation in the competition for three matches plus one match conditionally for using excessive force to injure the opponent.
