Ukrainian Cup. Ivan Nadein: Veres has ambitious plans to perform in both national tournaments

One of the First League teams that won a ticket to the quarterfinal of Ukrainian Cup-2020/2021, became Veres, which won over the elite Mariupol in Mlyniv - 1: 0.

"I really liked the first half in the performance of our players, - said the president of FC Veres Ivan Nadein in a comment to the UAF official website. - Yurii Virt's wards significantly outnumbered the citizens and could remove the issue of the winner from the agenda before the break. Unfortunately, the we failed to convert our chances into goals.

In the second half, the game was played more on the opposing courses. After Robert Hegedos opened the scoring, Veres remained in the minority, but continued to control the course of events on the field and, I think, deserved to win.

I am very pleased with both the coaching staff and the players, they deserved the serious bonuses they received yesterday.

I do not hide that Veres has ambitious plans to play on both fronts: in the championship we want to win a ticket to the elite division, and in cup competitions to stay as long as possible.

It is also gratifying that the reconstruction of Avangard Stadium is in full swing. This gives reason to hope that next season Veres will be able to host rivals in Rivne".
