The bronze medalists of the Ukrainian championship lost their chances to reach the Europa League playoffs following the results of the last round, so today they competed only for prestige, prizes and points in the national and club rankings. Their rivals also had a purely tournament motivation, as the Portuguese club fought in absentia against Leicester for first place in the group.

Despite the announcement of Vernydub's recovery, Vitaliy did not qualify for the game, so Ivanisen's nominal supporter acted as a central defender. And the stock of Viktor Skrypnyk's team looked very poor - only five field players.

The hosts attacked more purposefully, but their numerous shots did not reach the goal due to the inaccuracy and successful actions of Shevchenko, in particular when Ruiz came out on his own. At the same time, Carlos Carvalhal's wards did not always act in a disciplined manner during the transition from attack to defense, however, Zorya failed to punish them for this, although closer to the break the guests also started to score more often.

The open game continued in the second half. Kochergin and Kabayev lost their chances, and Joao Novais hit the crossbar from the penalty spot. And then "Brazi" managed a successful attack. Galeno beat Favorov and punched past Shevchenko. Abu Hanna, trying to save the situation, cut the ball into his own net. Soon the hosts had a triple substitution, and the players who came on the field created the second goal. Medeiros passed and Ricardo Orta put an end to it. 2: 0.

Substitutions at the end of the match refreshed Zorya's game in attack, but the score did not change. Viktor Skrypnyk's team lost and finished third in their group in the group quartet.
