Today, the Executive Committee of the Football Union of Bosnia and Herzegovina has elected a new head coach of the national team. 

Ivaylo Petev from Bulgaria became the new coach of the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina. About this the official website Football Union of BiH. The 45-year-old Bulgarian specialist replaced Dusan Baevich, who resigned on November 28, 2020.

Ivaylo Petev began his coaching career in 2009 as a coach of the Bulgarian club "Favorite 2007". His track record includes such teams as the Bulgarian Ludogorets and Levski, the Cypriot AEL and Omonia, the Croatian Dynamo, the Arabian Al Qadisiyah and the Polish Jagiellonia. In addition, Petev worked with the Bulgarian national team in 2015-2016. 

As a coach, Ivaylo Petev with Ludogorets twice became the champion of Bulgaria (2011/2012, 2012/2013), won the Cup of Bulgaria (2012) and the Super Cup of Bulgaria (2012). 

The debut match of the Bulgarian specialist in his new position will be the away match of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with the national team of Finland, which will take place on March 24.

It will be recalled that the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina is Ukraine's rival in the qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup. (matches will take place on October 12 and November 16, 2021).
