The winners of the "Football Stars of Ukraine" ceremony will be determined on February 15

Preparations are underway for the Football Stars of Ukraine -2020 project, a joint initiative of the Ukrainian Football Association and the All-Ukrainian Association of Professional Footballers.

This award ceremony, which has become a good tradition that unites our football community and pays tribute to the stars of the leather ball of Ukraine, will be the fifth. Due to objective circumstances, this time the holiday event will take place online.

As part of the live broadcast of the ceremony on the official UAF channel on YouTube, the winners in a number of nominations will be announced, who will be invited to participate in the festive online event. Star awards will be presented in the following nominations:

"The best football player of Ukraine";

"The best football player of Ukraine";

"The best young player" (born in 1999 and younger);

"Author of the best goal";

"The best football player-legionnaire";

"The best coach of Ukraine" (among the head coaches of women's teams);

"The best coach of Ukraine" (among the head coaches of men's teams);

"The best coach of the men's team working abroad";

"Symbolic national team of Ukraine" (11 players - women);

"Symbolic national team of Ukraine" (11 players - men);

"The best futsal player" (men);

"The best futsal player" (women).

Andriy Pavelko, President of the Ukrainian Football Association and a member of the UEFA Executive Committee, said: At the same time, I was categorically against the complete cancellation of the event. After all, in 19 we managed to complete the Ukrainian Championship and the Ukrainian Cup on a sports basis. Therefore, the main heroes of the competition - the best players and their coaches - deserve honorable mentions. I am sure that the fifth ceremony will be a good continuation of the tradition of honoring the best football players and a pleasant start to the new football year. "

The winners of the ceremony are selected by independent voting, which is attended by representatives of clubs participating in the All-Ukrainian football competitions among the teams of the Premier League and the Professional Football League 2020. The results of this vote will be summed up by a jury consisting of independent football experts, media representatives and lawyers. All fans will have the opportunity to vote for the top three in the nomination "Author of the best goal" on the page of the Ukrainian Football Association on Facebook. The winner in this nomination, one of the three super finalists, will also be determined by the fans during the voting on the UAF Telegram channel on the day of the ceremony.

Also during the ceremony, special awards will be presented for special contribution to the development of football in our country.
