Ukraine's futsal team defeated Denmark for the second time and secured second place in the Euro-2022 qualifying group

The national futsal team of Ukraine held another match of the group qualifying round of Euro-2022, in which it defeated the Danish team for the second time in a row.

After yesterday victory over the Danes with a score of 6: 2 the chances of the blue-yellows for the second place in the quartet increased significantly. Today our team had to face this opponent in Zaporizhia for the second time in a row. It will be recalled that one of the qualifying matches against the Danes were canceled and subsequently, by decision of UEFA, postponed to April 8.

The Ukrainians immediately pressed the Scandinavians, in the 4th minute Abakshin could have scored, but did not hit the corner from a few meters. Soon our team opened the score when Korsun elegantly threw the ball past Hog after the transfer of Shoturma. However, the Danes instantly retaliated - Goddard managed to break through the center and push the ball past Sukhov, who today replaced the injured Tsypun in the goal.

Later, the blue-and-yellows, having scored higher from the killer position, forgave Jorgensen, and Swan did not realize his face-to-face with Hog. Subsequently, the teams arranged another exchange of goals. First, Mykytyuk scored a powerful kick from the rebound, and then the Danes counterattacked after an unsuccessful throw Sukhov.

And yet the Ukrainians managed to secure a solid handicap in the first half. In the 11th minute Malyshko dealt with the goalkeeper after throwing Zhurba, and in the 12th Abakshin hit the target with a kick from the turn after Sukhov's pass across the field. Towards the end of the half, the hosts scored for the fifth time - Swan finished the counterattack with a aimed shot into the corner.

In the second half of the match, the blue and yellows played on the scoreboard and increased their advantage. In the 22nd minute Razuvanov closed Zhurba's pass from the corner, later Lebid made a double after Sukhov's throw-in and Abakshin's pass. Denmark responded with a dangerous blow by Youssef near the post. Later the game calmed down, and at the end of the match the eighth ball was sent to the opponent's goal by Razuvanov. So 8: 2 - the national team of Ukraine wins a convincing victory and secures the second position in the group. It will allow either to go directly to Euro 2020, or to play in the playoffs. It will all depend on the schedule in other groups.

Note that the April collection of the blue and yellows is over, as the game Ukraine - Albania were canceled. The fate of the last match in qualifying group 1 will be decided by UEFA.
