Officially. UEFA credits Ukraine's futsal team to a technical victory over Albania in Euro 2022

Absence from the match against Ukraine, which was to take place on April 11 in Zaporizhia, cost the Albanian national futsal team a technical defeat.

Today is the official UEFA website published the decision, according to which the national team of Albania was credited with a technical defeat with a score of 0: 5 due to non-appearance in Zaporozhye for the match of the sixth round of the group stage of the Euro-2022 selection.

It will be recalled that the Albanian Football Federation has confirmed the impossibility of its national team arriving in Zaporizhia for the match against Ukraine on April 11. The case concerning the fate of the game was referred to the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Committee.

The UEFA verdict states: "Recognize the qualifying match of the European Futsal Championship between the national teams of Ukraine and Albania, which was to take place on April 11, 2021, disrupted by the Football Federation of Albania and credit its team to a technical defeat - 0: 5. It is the Football Federation of Albania that is responsible for the fact that the match did not take place (according to Article 28.01 of the Regulations of the European Futsal Championship 2020/2022).

Thus, Oleksandr Kosenko's wards finished the group stage with 12 points and became the second among the six teams that took second place and automatically qualified for the finals of Euro-2022.
