Ukrainian U-19 Championship: Shakhtar won gold medals in personal meetings with Dynamo

The fate of the gold medals of the Ukrainian U-19 championship in the 2020/2021 season was decided by additional indicators - personal meetings of the two leaders, in which Shakhtar twice beat Dynamo (both times - 1: 0). 

For young miners, this was a very important matter, because last season, which was not completed due to quarantine, there was a very difficult situation. Dynamo was named the winner of the championship (Kyiv received a pass to the UEFA Youth League, which, however, never started in the 2020/2021 season) due to the fact that Igor Kostyuk's team had more points scored at the time of stopping the championship - 43 in 16 matches. Shakhtar had 42 points, but in 15 matches. That is, behind the lost points Donetsk had a better perspective. In football, as you know, everything is decided by the greater number of points scored, but the miners have a residue from this schedule.

Donetsk had a hard time winning two victories in personal meetings and breaking the five-year hegemony of Dynamo in the U-19 championship. And it was a chance not to fly past the new draw of the UEFA Youth League. After all, Shakhtar's main squad has not yet reached the group round of the Champions League and will do so through qualification, but the U-19 miners' team as the champion of Ukraine is already guaranteed a pass to the Champions League. As well as Dynamo U-19, because the base of Kyiv is already in the main grid of the Champions League.

For Shakhtar, this is only the second victory in the Ukrainian U-19 championship. The first happened in 2015, when a wonderful generation of football players born in 1996 played in Donetsk - Viktor Kovalenko, Oleksandr Zubkov, Mykola Matvienko, Andriy Boryachuk, Oleg Kudryk, Igor Kiryukhantsev, Beka Vachiberadze, Denis Arendaruk, Daniil Paghatkinok, Alexander Andriy Korobenko, Oleksandr Glagola, Artur Avagimyan ...

This team also reached the final of the 2015 HLC, where they lost to Chelsea - 2: 3. It is possible that a group of future players of the national team of Ukraine will grow up in the current line-up of Shakhtar U-19.

Her team of Vasyl Baranov won: Zorya was ahead of Rukh, closed the top three and deprived Lviv residents of the opportunity to win two sets of bronze medals at once - in the U-21 championships. finished immediately behind Dynamo and Shakhtar) and U-19. In four matches from the moment last review of the U-19 championship Zorya scored 12 points - three times more than Rukh. Therefore, everything is fair.

I would also like to mention 2021 "Olympic", which after the winter break scored 19 points out of 22. According to the results of this year's matches, the Olympians are eight. If not for the failure in the first part of the season, they could well be fighting for a place in the top half of the standings. After all, in the 2021 table, Rukh (fourth place) has only five points more than Olympic.
